How do I Send You the ADE Log File?
Sometimes we ask for the ADE log to be sent to us. This helps us to understand what is going on inside ADE and to investigate problems. There is an automated process to send logs to us when ADE crashes but sometimes it may be necessary to send us a log manually. To find the log:
- Navigate to the ADE Main Folder. By default this will be in C:\MSFS\FS Design Tools\Airport Design Editor 9x
- There will be a folder for each version of the Sim that ADE supports. This shows version 1.50 Here there are folders for FS9, FSX and the two versions of P3D. Select the folder for the version you want to get the log for.
- The log is always called log.tx1. You may also see Log_01.tx1 and so on. These are older logs and generally you do not need to send these unless we ask to see it. Select log.tx1, attach it to an email and send it to us. You may need to zip it up if your ISP rejects .tx1 as an unknown or unacceptable extension.
