How do I Send You the ADE Log File?

Sometimes we ask for the ADE log to be sent to us.  This helps us to understand what is going on inside ADE and to investigate problems. There is an automated process to send logs to us when ADE crashes but sometimes it may be necessary to send us a log manually. To find the log:

  1. Navigate to the ADE Main Folder.  By default this will be in C:\MSFS\FS Design Tools\Airport Design Editor 9x
  2. There will be a folder for each version of the Sim that ADE supports.  This shows version 1.50  Here there are folders for FS9, FSX and the two versions of P3D.  Select the folder for the version you want to get the log for.
  3. The log is always called log.tx1.  You may also see Log_01.tx1 and so on.  These are older logs and generally you do not need to send these unless we ask to see it.  Select log.tx1, attach it to an email and send it to us.  You may need to zip it up if your ISP rejects .tx1 as an unknown or unacceptable extension.

The error message is that you have two runway starts with the same runway number.

Please check this:
https://scruffyduck.screenstepslive.com/s/help_docs/m/20268/l/199765-the-ade-issue-manager

for help in fixing the problem. The default fix will be to delete the duplicate but you will probably want to change the runway of the one that is wrong

I had recently installed FS9 and tried to compile an airport with the only modification made was removing the fuel trigger. This is the message that I got;

I always get the following error after I've placed a selfmade object (launchplatform). It's for an also selfmade & fictional airport to launch the manned rocket -Bachem Natter- (finished, but not applicable to any other platform). The .mdl for the platform was created with FSDS3.5 for FSX >>>

The problem is with a taxi sign and the characters used in the text on it (label)

Jon Masterson

You have a taxi sign with this label: l[Gg]m09-27

It contains a character which the compiler does not recognize. This may be because the original file was made by AFCAD or AFX. You need to find and correct the taxisign to make it valid.

The best place to get help with this is on the Airport Design Editor support forum at www.fsdeveloper.com. Someone there will be able to help
